"On the day you were born" themed first birthday cake

I had never heard  of this book, so the mom sent me pictures of the pages they liked most and the quote she wanted included. It took me over an hour to cut out the letters, but I really like the finished product. The mom did too :) Chocolate cake, vanilla butter cream, covered in fondant with hand painted fondant details

Girly silhouette birthday cake

Chocolate cake, vanilla buttercream, covered in fondant with fondant details.
I am not girly, but I am happy with how this one turned out. I love black and white, and it worked well with the pink girly details :)

Red and Blue Flowers: Kate's cupcakes

I have known Kate for 6 years now and have gotten to do some fun cakes for her. This year she had a party that included a cake at the Skate rink, so her mom ordered a dozen cupcakes to just celebrate at home. Pumpkin cupcakes with vanilla butter cream. Fondant toppers and gum paste flowers. This was a fun color scheme I hadn't used before :)

Minnie mouse inspired cake and smash cake

I love how these turned out! I don't do many disney inspired cakes, but I was happy to do this one as it's not too literal of an interpretation. Buttermilk vanilla cake, strawberry filling, vanilla buttercream, all covered in fondant with fondant details. The little cake is a 4inch cake, I love my little new pans :)

Eva's 7th birthday, purple flower cake

I have known Eva since she was 15 months old. The first cake I made for her was for her 3rd birthday, while I was taking Wilton classes. She always has a very specific idea of what she wants her cakes to look like. She doesn't like fondant, but decided that fondant details were ok :)

Pink and purple ombre ruffle princess cake

This is by far the girliest cake I have ever done!! Bottom tier was chocolate, top vanilla buttermilk. All covered in fondant then fondant ruffles. There was also a dozen chocolate and a dozen vanilla cupcakes with purple and pink fondant toppers. I am pretty sure the birthday girl loved it :)

Harry Potter 7th Birthday

This cake was fun and a challenge! It was a challenge, because I have never read or watched any Harry Potter. So, I turned to google searches to get ideas for this cake. I am really happy with how it turned out :)

Puppy cupcakes!

I don't usually take last minute orders, but as I had some time yesterday I decided to take on this one. The dad sent me a message around noon yesterday asking if I could please make some cupcakes for the last minute party he was putting together for his daughter today.

Dozen vanilla, dozen chocolate, all with vanilla buttercream and fondant toppers. I had a lot of fun making the little puppies! I love how cute and bright they are :)

hello kitty cupcakes

These were done for a little girl's 4th birthday. Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla butter cream and fondant toppers. I am not a girly girl, but I really liked these :)

Umicar

Months ago, Eli asked me if I could make his cake. He requested a picture of Umicar and kept going back and forth on if he wanted lemon or chocolate cake.
I decided I could do a little better than a picture. Umicar is lemon cake with lemon buttercream. The bottom cake is chocolate with vanilla buttercream. Milli, Geo and Bot are ricekrispy treats.
This is my first carved cake, I am really happy with how it turned out :)

Rocket cupcakes

I really enjoyed making these cupcakes! Yes, I realize I say that about pretty much every project! These were made for Luca's 7th birthday. One of the first cakes I ever made, while I was taking Wilton Classes, was a start tip lighting McQueen for Luca's 3rd birthday.
I have improved a littler since then, lol. Chocolate cupcakes with buttercream icing, fondant details.
They were going to Duke Gardens to play with model rockets.

Olympic cake

This was another fun birthday cake request. I used to babysit Naomi when they lived in the U.S. They moved a few years ago and were back for a visit during Naomi's birthday. Chocolate cake with chocolate icing covered in fondant with fondant details.
