Isabelle does not like fondant and loves chocolate. So, I made a chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream. The flower is gum paste and the letters are fondant. This is another take on the petal effect. I really enjoy playing with butter cream from time to time :)
I have had the pleasure of knowing Lili all her life, and every year her birthday cake is her gift from me. This year she drew what she wanted her cake to look like, only she wanted it to the pink and have green, purple and pink butterflies. She only have blue and purple crayons available when she made the picture.
Chocolate cake, vanilla butter cream, covered in fondant with fondant details.
She loved it, and that's all that matters :)

I am not girly, but I am happy with how this one turned out. I love black and white, and it worked well with the pink girly details :)

I wanted to try something new for Siegrid's cake. I decided to do a chocolate cake with beijinho, a Brazilian coconut fudge candy, for the filling. It's my first time covering a cake in ganache. The snowflakes are fondant. It was super yummy!
I have been having fun with snow flakes! The mini cupcakes I made for the nursery workers are church and the regular ones for a holiday dinner with friends :) Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla icing and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate peppermint icing. The snow flakes are fondant painted with pearl dusts

I broke a lot of my own rules on this cake. I don't usually decorate cakes other people make, but for this one I made an exception. The birthday girl requested a white cake with gold details and left the design up to me. I love how the flowers turned out. I think this design would work for an anniversary or wedding as well.
I have known Kate for 6 years now and have gotten to do some fun cakes for her. This year she had a party that included a cake at the Skate rink, so her mom ordered a dozen cupcakes to just celebrate at home. Pumpkin cupcakes with vanilla butter cream. Fondant toppers and gum paste flowers. This was a fun color scheme I hadn't used before :)
I love how these turned out! I don't do many disney inspired cakes, but I was happy to do this one as it's not too literal of an interpretation. Buttermilk vanilla cake, strawberry filling, vanilla buttercream, all covered in fondant with fondant details. The little cake is a 4inch cake, I love my little new pans :)
